Softball Recap: Maywood Academy Takes a Loss

Maywood Academy lost against King/Drew back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Maywood Academy Nighthawks took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King/Drew Golden Eagles. The match marked the Nighthawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Maywood Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for King/Drew, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Maywood Academy will take on Northridge Academy in a tournament on Saturday. Northridge Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Maywood Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for King/Drew, they will face off against Leuzinger at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leuzinger has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.8 runs per game on average), something King/Drew will no doubt try to take advantage of.
