After a string of six wins, Lakota's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the New Riegel Blue Jackets by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 15th.

Hannah Stahl was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Lakota's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for New Riegel, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakota is set to square off against their familiar foe Danbury at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, New Riegel will face off against rival Gibsonburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Jackets 2, the Golden Bears 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
