 Bald Eagle Area put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mount Union Trojans  a   5-0 shutout. Despite the  win, that was the fewest  runs Bald Eagle Area has scored all year.
 Bald Eagle Area got a great performance from  Westin McClain as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. McClain has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Wyatt Spackman, who  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 On Mount Union's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jamon Ranck, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with a  double.
 Bald Eagle Area pushed their record up to 5-0 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Mount Union, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
 Bald Eagle Area will head out on the road to  square off against  Bishop Carroll at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Bald Eagle Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10  runs per game this season. As for Mount Union, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Somerset at 1:00  p.m.
