While Surry County's win against Brunswick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Surry County's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Brunswick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
