Recap: Rise Kohyang Tritons vs. Stern Titans
The Rise Kohyang Tritons lost against the Stern Titans last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Rise Kohyang lost to Stern at home by a decisive 62-46 margin. While losing is never fun, Rise Kohyang can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 945th, while Stern is ranked 400th).
Stern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mark Bautista, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Bautista's sixth in a row with at least ten points. George Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Rise Kohyang now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Stern, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rise Kohyang will take on Los Angeles Leadership Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smidt Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
