Soccer Game Preview: Granite Falls vs. Sultan

Granite Falls hasn't had much luck against Sultan recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will face off against the Turks at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Granite Falls is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against South Whidbey, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Granite Falls have lost by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, Sultan's game back in March was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 2-0 to Snohomish. Sultan have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Granite Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-2. As for Sultan, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Granite Falls might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Sultan in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
