Basketball Recap: Harriman Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Harriman's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 win over the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Harriman found their leader in sophomore Ansley Moore, who went 8 of 14 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Rose, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeway Christian Academy lost, don't look at Kami Wilson. Despite the final result, she posted 33 points. That was a full 73.3% of Lakeway Christian Academy's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Carli Sawyer, who had six points.

Harriman's record is now 6-9. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
