The Boardman Spartans will challenge the Geneva Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boardman is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
On Monday, Boardman beat Jefferson Area 7-2.
Gabi Sferra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Addie Rudge was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Cherne, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Geneva never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Brush on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Arcs. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Annabelle Bragg was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Bragg was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caidyn Siegel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Kailyn Cerjan was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Geneva kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Boardman pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Geneva, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-13.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Boardman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like Geneva struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
