Baseball Recap: PikeView Panthers vs. James Monroe Mavericks        
        
		
            
 If PikeView was feeling good  off their  15-5 takedown of WestSide last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The PikeView Panthers lost  13-3 to the James Monroe Mavericks on Monday. PikeView was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as James Monroe apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March.
 PikeView saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Christian Walters, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 On James Monroe's side, they let  Peyton Gardinier and  Cooper Ridgeway loose on the outfield. Gardinier  went 2-for-3 with five  RBI, a  run,  and a  double, while  Ridgeway  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kadyn Hines, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 PikeView's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-9. As for James Monroe, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. PikeView will take on Shady Spring at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for James Monroe, they will be playing at home against Mount View at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. James Monroe will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak  alive.
