Saginaw hasn't had much luck against Aledo recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Saginaw Rough Riders will head out to challenge the Aledo Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Saginaw has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Saginaw is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Brewer, falling 18-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Saginaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Angles, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Angles has posted since back in April of 2024.

She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, MARINA TAVERAS was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. JORDYN EDINGTON also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Aledo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fossil Ridge only managed four hits.

Aledo pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Saginaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
