Basketball Recap: Inter-Lakes Comes Up Short

Inter-Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Gilford Golden Eagles, falling 46-5. The matchup marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Inter-Lakes' loss came despite strong showings from Riley Anderson and Bella Kimball. Anderson posted two points along with ten boards, four steals, and four blocks, while Kimball earned no points. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.

Inter-Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Gilford, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inter-Lakes has already played their next game (against Belmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gilford will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30 p.m.
