Baseball Recap: Regents Beats Bishop Dunne for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Regents entered their tilt with Bishop Dunne on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 12-2 win. Considering the Knights have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Blake Mott was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. He has become a key player for Regents: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Cash Nelson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

Regents was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Regents' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Dunne, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20-1.

Looking ahead, Regents will challenge St. Andrew's at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Dunne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
