Kansas City East Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 28-20 win over Wichita Defenders HomeSchool. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kansas City East Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Wisner, who rushed for 40 yards and a pair of scores. That's the most rushing yards Wisner has posted since back in August. Kansas City East Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Benjamin Nelson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Meanwhile, while Manhattan E put up plenty of points two weeks ago, the same can't be said for Cornerstone Family. The Eagles took their matchup with ease, bagging a 50-0 win over the Saints. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Manhattan E's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.

Kansas City East Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 74-6 defeat at the hands of Manhattan E in their previous matchup back in September. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lions were down 60-6.
