Grand Ledge took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Williamston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Comets skirted past the Hornets 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Grand Ledge's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Williamston, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 31-6 record.

Grand Ledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williamston, they will take on Portland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 3.3, the Raiders 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
