Baseball Recap: Montgomery Central Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Montgomery Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Creek Wood Red Hawks, falling 11-3. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Dylan Fulton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Montgomery Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise.

Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Creek Wood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

While Montgomery Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
