Volleyball Recap: Mankato West Takes a Loss

If Mankato West was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Winona on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scarlets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Wing Wingers on Thursday. The Scarlets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wingers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Mankato West's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Red Wing, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Mankato West will face off against St. Peter at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Wing, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Owatonna at 7:15 p.m. on September 9.
