Anthem Prep has gone a perfect 10-0 against Salome recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eagles will head out to take on the Frogs at 4:00 p.m. Anthem Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Anthem Prep is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Desert Heights Prep.

Jaxon MacHugh put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. MacHugh was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

MacHugh wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ricky Orta, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Salome fell victim to Bagdad and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Sultans, falling 17-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 29, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Salome's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Anthem Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything went Anthem Prep's way against Salome in their previous matchup back in March, as Anthem Prep made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
