Basketball Recap: Vestavia Hills Takes a Loss

If Vestavia Hills was feeling good fresh off their 62-30 takedown of Hewitt-Trussville last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vestavia Hills Rebels took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoover Buccaneers on Friday. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buccaneers earlier this season, when they won 52-41.

Vestavia Hills' loss dropped their record down to 27-3. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 29-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Vestavia Hills will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Albertville at 6:00 p.m. on February 17th. Albertville will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Vestavia Hills surely won't give up without a fight. Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
