Baseball Game Preview: Girard Indians vs. Struthers Wildcats

For the second straight game, Girard will face off against Struthers. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Girard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Struthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Girard was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Struthers on Monday. The Indians were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Wildcats. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Pierson Ginocchi looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Girard's win was truly a team effort as nine different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Hynes, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Indians are 8-1 when Hynes posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

Girard's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Struthers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
