Monroe Central has no trouble against Shenandoah

Recap: Monroe Central Seminoles vs. Shenandoah Zeps

The Monroe Central Seminoles won the last time they faced the Shenandoah Zeps, and things went their way on Thursday too. Monroe Central strolled past Shenandoah with points to spare, taking the game 55-36. Given Monroe Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Shenandoah is ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shenandoah's loss came despite strong showings from Emily Moore and Brylee May. Moore scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while May scored 11 points.

Monroe Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Shenandoah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing River the next time they take the court. Shenandoah will host River at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Monroe Central will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
