Softball Recap: Brockway Rovers vs. Kane Wolves

Brockway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 17-11 loss at the hands of the Kane Wolves. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.

Sophia Schmader made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Isabella Patton, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Brockway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kane, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brockway will take on Curwensville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Brockway is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Kane, they will be playing at home against East Forest at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
