Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Rock vs. Marshall

The Eagle Rock Eagles will square off against the Marshall Barristers at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Marshall will be up against a hot Eagle Rock squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Eagle Rock blew past Bravo 4-1 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, Marshall kept a clean sheet against Wilson on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Mules. Given the Barristers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Mules are ranked 1111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marshall hit Wilson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luis Gonzales, Joseph Quiroa, and Andrew Luna.

Eagle Rock's record is now 6-3-2. As for Marshall, their record now sits at 14-4-1.

Eagle Rock suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Marshall when the teams last played last Wednesday. Can Eagle Rock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
