Basketball Recap: Tecumseh Takes a Loss

Tecumseh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 64-50 to the Mt. Vernon Wildcats. The Braves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Leading Mt. Vernon to victory were Nash Hostetter and Meyer Robb. Hostetter went 8-for-11 to rack up 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Robb almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. That's the most boards Hostetter has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Campbell, who put up six points.

Tecumseh's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Mt. Vernon, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Tecumseh has already played their next matchup (against Cannelton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mt. Vernon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-52 win against Washington on the 22nd.
