Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rossville Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 two weeks ago.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Rossville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against Sheridan on the 20th. As for Rossville, they have also already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Clinton Central on the 20th.
