Volleyball Game Preview: Mansueto Leopards vs. Victoria Soto Wolves

The Mansueto Leopards will face off against the Victoria Soto Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mansueto will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Mansueto was able to grind out a solid win over Solorio, taking the game 2-0.

While Mansueto won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Victoria Soto can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Wolves couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18.

With the defeat, Victoria Soto broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 12-3. As for Mansueto, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Mansueto skirted past Victoria Soto 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2019. Will the Leopards repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
