Basketball Recap: Clyde Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Clyde extended their home winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Gracie Caperton. The Clyde Bulldogs strolled past the Grape Creek Eagles with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-40 thanks in part to Caperton, who posted 26 points along with seven boards and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clyde's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Underwood, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 19 rebounds. She has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last six times she's played.

Clyde is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Grape Creek, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Clyde will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Merkel at 2:30 p.m. on December 31st. Grape Creek will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Wall at 12:00 p.m. on December 31st.
