Preview: Belle Tigers vs. New Bloomfield Wildcats
Belle is 1-9 against New Bloomfield since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Belle Tigers will look to defend their home court against the New Bloomfield Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Belle has not done well against Linn recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way back in November. Belle came out on top against Linn by a score of 52-43.
Meanwhile, New Bloomfield's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 53-46 victory over Otterville. The win was just what New Bloomfield needed coming off of a 74-50 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Bloomfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 14 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Fuhriman, who scored 14 points.
Belle's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for New Bloomfield, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Belle strolled past New Bloomfield when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 69-55. Will Belle repeat their success, or does New Bloomfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
