Volleyball Recap: Loveland Takes a Loss

Loveland entered their contest against Walnut Hills on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 3rd.

While Loveland ultimately came up short, they really made Walnut Hills work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 28-26, 25-21.

Carter Lucas paced Loveland's offense, picking up eight kills. Lucas were helped by Andrew Dostal and Colton Baker, who contributed 12 assists each. Baker was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Loveland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Walnut Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Loveland has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Kings on the 29th. As for Walnut Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Turpin on the 29th.
