Baseball Recap: St. Vincent de Paul Comes Up Short

St. Vincent de Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Montgomery Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered against the Vikings since March 31, 2023.

St. Vincent de Paul saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Hankins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Vincent de Paul's record is now 2-9. As for Montgomery, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

St. Vincent de Paul and Montgomery could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Mustangs will square off against Analy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (997 vs. 437). Meanwhile, Montgomery (ranked 496th) will meet Vintage (ranked 238th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
