Lake Lure Classical Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Temple Baptist Eagles 36-34. For the Raptors, this counts as revenge for the 49-33 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Lake Lure Classical Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landry Mize led the charge by putting up 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was London Camp, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards.

Looking ahead, Lake Lure Classical Academy will square off against Pinnacle Classical Academy on the 13th. This will be the Raptors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Temple Baptist, they will take on Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th.
