Basketball Recap: Culbertson's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Culbertson lost against Poplar back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Culbertson Cowboys came up short against the Poplar Indians, falling 65-39.

Culbertson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bridger Salvevold, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Kirkaldie, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

Culbertson's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Poplar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Culbertson will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lambert/Richey at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Poplar, they will square off against Huntley Project at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
