Meanwhile, Max S. Hayes had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Rhodes, falling 14-4.

Garrett Morgan pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Max S. Hayes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Garrett Morgan took their win against Max S. Hayes in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score.
