Basketball Recap: McMinn County Takes a Loss

McMinn County lost against Walker Valley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The McMinn County Cherokees fell just short of the Walker Valley Mustangs by a score of 87-85. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (73), the Cherokees still had to take the loss.

McMinn County's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Walker Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.

McMinn County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walker Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rhea County at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Walker Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
