Basketball Recap: Wylie Has No Trouble Against Naaman Forest

The third road match was the charm for Wylie, as they earned their first road win of the season. Everything went their way against the Naaman Forest Rangers on Tuesday as the Wylie Pirates made off with a 67-47 victory. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Rangers are ranked 1037th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wylie now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Naaman Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Wylie will be playing in front of their home fans against Rowlett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowlett has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Naaman Forest, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lakeview Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
