Preview: Glasgow Dragons vs. Dickinson Rams
Glasgow has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Dickinson Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickinson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Glasgow, who comes in off a win.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Glasgow on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew DuPont out of the water with a 51-0 final score. Glasgow pushed the score to 45-0 by the end of the third, a deficit DuPont had no chance of recovering from.
Glasgow can attribute much of their success to Walter Bess, who rushed for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Glasgow's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Dickinson's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Christiana 32-26.
Glasgow's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Dickinson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Glasgow against Dickinson in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 54-8 win. Does Glasgow have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dickinson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
