Softball Recap: Hill School Rams vs. Friends' Central

Hill School's last matchup with Friends' Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Rams came up short against Friends' Central, falling 21-9. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 8-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Julia Slaney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Willow Gall, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Hill School has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Friends' Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Hill School will head out to challenge Springside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Friends' Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
