Basketball Recap: Claire Williams and Jalynn Meadows Secure Win for Jackson County

Jackson County won the last time they faced Trousdale County and things went their way on Monday too. The Jackson County Blue Devils took down the Trousdale County Yellowjackets 62-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Jackson County was led to victory by Jalynn Meadows and Claire Williams. Meadows went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and four steals, while Williams posted 16 points along with seven boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Meadows is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Thomas, who put up seven points.

Jackson County's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Trousdale County, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Jackson County will venture away from home to square off against Celebration at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trousdale County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-33 win against Gordonsville on the 17th.
