Basketball Recap: New Holstein Starts Season with Win at Home

New Holstein took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Random Lake Rams, posting an 89-62 victory. The Huskies' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

New Holstein found their leader in sophomore Owen Birschbach, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 boards. James Conrad was another key player, going 7-for-15 en route to 18 points and four steals.

Coming up, New Holstein will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oostburg at 7:00 p.m. As for Random Lake, they are taking a road trip to square off against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
