Vasquez typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Trinity Classical Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Mustangs 12-4. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

John Carlson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Quinn Minyard, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Cade Herta was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Trinity Classical Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Trinity Classical Academy and bumps their season record up to 19-2. As for Vasquez, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.

Trinity Classical Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
