Basketball Recap: Eastern Christian Comes Up Short

Eastern Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. The match between them and the Hawthorne Christian Defenders didn't end well, with the Eastern Christian Eagles falling 40-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-25 on January 8th.

Eastern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Hawthorne Christian, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Eastern Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Waldwick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hawthorne Christian, they will square off against Passaic Arts & Science Charter at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Passaic Arts & Science Charter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
