Basketball Recap: Westminster Wolves vs. Arvada Bulldogs
Westminster had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Arvada Bulldogs 74-33 on Monday. With the Wolves ahead 44-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Westminster got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elyas Romero out in front who went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points in addition to eight assists and five steals. Romero has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Dennis Ross was another key player, shooting 56% from the field on his way to 14 points along with five boards and four steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Westminster was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arvada only posted three.
Arvada lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Quentin Kohler, who posted eight points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Roybal, who scored four points and nine boards.
Westminster has already played their next contest, a 70-41 victory against Adams City on the 2nd. As for Arvada, they will head out to challenge Village at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
