Basketball Recap: North Springs Comes Up Short

If North Springs was feeling good fresh off their 74-48 takedown of Clarkston last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Springs Spartans fell just short of the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions by a score of 57-54 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Golden Lions are ranked 102nd).

North Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither North Springs nor St. Pius X Catholic have any future games scheduled.
