Volleyball Recap: Everett's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Everett had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Monroe on Saturday. The Seagulls put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Seagulls, who have now won four matchups in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-22.

Ava Gonzalez paced Everett's offense, picking up 27 kills. Gonzalez got some help from Ava Urbanozo and her 38 assists. Finally, Gonzalez was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Everett's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Everett nor Monroe have any future games scheduled.
