It was a good run, but Meadowcreek unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 71-64 to the Norcross Blue Devils. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 70-68.

Meadowcreek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javon Armstrong, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. Jayson Fleming was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meadowcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Norcross, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek will face off against Ramsay at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Ramsay's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for Norcross, they will challenge Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
