Baseball Recap: Hazen Highlanders vs. Interlake Saints

Hazen won the last time they faced Interlake, and things went their way on Monday too. The Hazen Highlanders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Interlake Saints and snuck past 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hazen.

Hazen got a great performance from Benji Smajic as he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Isaac Lee picked up the save, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks).

On the hitting side, Michael Curry was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Riley Ottele, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
