With a playoff win on the line, Mountain Vista rose to the challenge on Saturday. They strolled past the Grandview Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 26-7. Those 26 points were actually the fewest the Golden Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Ariana Akey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 234 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 101 yards on only ten carries. She didn't just play on offense: she also picked up two sacks, made 12 total tackles, and defended one pass. Kayleigh Besch was in the mix too, providing Mountain Vista with two touchdowns.

Mountain Vista's record is now 17-0. As for Grandview, with the defeat, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Mountain Vista will square off against Ralston Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Golden Eagles 6.2, the Mustangs 9.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
