Basketball Game Preview: Mays Raiders vs. Douglass Astros + How To Watch

The Mays Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Douglass Astros at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Mays made easy work of Paideia and carried off a 74-53 victory. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Pythons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jabari Hall was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Hall is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Tiago Lee was another key player, putting up 16 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Douglass' strategy against Laney on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Astros blew the Wildcats out of the water with a 74-32 final score. The Astros pushed the score to 62-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had no chance of recovering from.

Douglass now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mays, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Mays couldn't quite get it done against Douglass in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 74-66. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
