Baseball Game Preview: Booker T. Washington Hornets vs. Dewey Bulldoggers

The Booker T. Washington Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Dewey Bulldoggers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Booker T. Washington has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Booker T. Washington didn't have quite enough to beat Durant and fell 3-2.

Kellyville hit Dewey with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldoggers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ponies. The Bulldoggers have struggled against the Ponies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Chase Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Davis, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dewey's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Booker T. Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.

Booker T. Washington came up short against Dewey when the teams last played back in March, falling 10-7. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
