Soccer Recap: Giles Comes Up Short

Giles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bland County Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bland County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

Giles' loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Bland County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3-2.

Coming up, Giles will venture away from home to face off against Fort Chiswell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bland County, they will welcome Bath County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
