Softball Preview: McDonough Rams vs. Northern Patriots

The McDonough Rams will be staying on the road to face off against the Northern Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, McDonough narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Thomas Stone 8-6.

Meanwhile, Northern can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over Urbana.

Kat Brabson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Brabson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Brabson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Northern got a massive performance out of Reagan Powell, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Delaney MacAulay, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
